Self-Guided Tour - Pin Oak Court (Ramsey Street) By Public Transport

Pin Oak Court, Vermont South, set of Ten series Neighbours can easily be reached using public transport, for just the cost of a daily Zone 1+2 Metcard, which was $9.70 as of January 2006.

There are three ways to get to Pin Oak Court, Vermont South a.k.a. Ramsey Stret from the CBD or suburbs using the Metcard system:
1. Tram - the route 75 will take you there from the City
2. Train + Bus - catch a connecting train then a SmartBus
3. Alternate public transport services - including driving

TRAM

The
Route 75 tram extension (click for timetable) now stops less than 10 minutes walk away from Pin Oak Court, a.k.a. Ramsey Street and can be picked up in Flinders Street in the CBD, taking 45-50 minutes at most times, running every 12 minutes maximum during the day (including weekends) Get off at Tram Stop 73 near the corner of Springvale Rd, and walk down Springvale Rd to Weeden Dr, then along Weeden Dr to Pin Oak Court.

TRAIN + BUS

SmartBus Routes
888/889 stop in Springvale Rd, near Weeden Dr which leads to Pin Oak Court. This service runs every 15 minutes on weekdays, however weekend service frequencies can be in excess of more than 40-minutes so it is recommended that you carry a timetable if you are doing this service on the weekend. Get a train on either the Glen Waverley line to Glen Waverley Station, or on the Lilydale/Belgrave line to Nunawading Station and transfer to a bus there. Trains run every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 20 minutes on weekends.

Timetables are often available onboard the bus, but are also available from the Metshop at Melbourne Town Hall in the City, cnr Swanston & Little Collins Streets.

ALTERNATIVE METHODS

Other P.T. services:
Bus route 742 operates within 1km of Pin Oak Ct/Ramsey Street, but is infrequent so it is reccomended that you check the timetable first. There is a stop near the corner of Weeden Dr & Hartland Rd.
By car: Pin Oak Court, a.k.a. Ramsey Street is accessible by car from the CBD via two methods. The first (using tolls) is to take the CityLink tollway (note: e-Tag or daypass required prior to travel) to Toorak Rd, then drive along Toorak Rd until after it becomes Burwood Highway, until Springvale Rd where you should turn right, then left into Weeden Dr. The second, involving no tolls & more freeway driving is to take the Eastern Freeway to Springvale Rd, North Nunawading then go right and continue until Weeden Dr in Vermont South.
