The Glasgow Rangers Supporters Club of Sydney
was formed on the 10th June 1992.
The formative meeting
was held at the Coogee Randwick RSL Club, with 10 supporters
in attendance.
There was an agreement
to meet in 2 weeks time.
The original
members on the first night elected Russell Chapman as President.
Russell was to advertise the
newly formed club in various newspapers around Sydney.
The clubs first
proper meeting was held at the Coogee Bowling club some time in
July 1992. Around 30 supporters were in attendance.
During the following meeting
the first committee was elected.
President: Russell
Chapman
Secretary: Billy
Campbell
Treasurer: Drew McNiven.
The club was named the
Glasgow Rangers Supporters Club of Sydney.
In early
1993 the club moved to it's current home the Coogee Randwick RSL
Club.
