First coming to earth as part of the Zentradi force sent to retake the SDF-1, Miria was the fleet's best warrior. Proud and arrogant, she had never been defeated until the day she fought Max Sterling. Though not thouroughly beaten, she felt the sting of failure and underwent the micronisation process to get a very personal revenge. It didn't quite go to plan as Max had seen her about the SDF-1 and developed quite a crush on him. So when they met up she tried to shank him and he proposed to her. Stunned by this sudden exposure to non-combat related emotions and feelings, she was instantly head over heels in love. However, it was not meant to be - a hasty marriage and child later, all seemed to be going great until the Zentradi war came to a close with the death of Khyron. Then Rick wanted to head off in the SDF-3 to find the Robotech Masters, and Max wanted to go with him. Miria had adjusted to civilian life and wanted to stay put and raise their daughter Dana in a life outside the military.

So the couple split, and Miria stayed on earth with her daughter. A few years later Miria was working part time as a barista when a group of cobra soldiers came into the cafe for lunch. Only one of them came back regularly each day (that Miria was working that is) until he worked up enough courage to ask her out to the movies. The young man, Phil, was workig his way through the ranks as a Tele-Viper, mostly producing TV spots when the Commander hijacked the world's airwaves. She liked that he wasn't obsessed with his work or Cobra, and didn't patronise her when she didn't understand an Earth custom. He also proved a wonderful father figure to Dana, and they formed an almost instant family.

The pair were considered a perfect match by their friends and it wasn't long before talk of proposals and weddings surfaced. Phil never seemed interested or enthusiastic about the topic, but she suspected something was up the night of their anniversery. The first clue was when they dropped Dana off at the aparment shared by Ted and his girlfriend Jen Miria saw Ted giving Phil the thumbs up. Second was that he had arranged for a special showing of her favourite comedy (Scarface) at the same drive in they went to years ago. He did propose, and she said yes. It was a fairly short engagement and the pair bought a house in the suburbs and settled down. After the birth of Nathan she started to change, the micronisation process wearing off slightly until she stood at almost 7 foot tall. She also started feeling her warrior instinct coming back, but that may just have been having to deal with other mothers at Dana's school.

Lately Miria has been thinking of going back to work now the children are all almost fully grown, but isn't sure of what she wants to do. Phil has hinted she might be able to get work on the show, but nothing has really been sorted out as of yet.
