Introduction |
When using my WitP map, only specially modified
scenarios can be used. This is because the location data for the
modified map is not the same as for the official map. These scenarios
can either be conversions of scenarios that have been made for the
official map, or can be new scenarios created from scratch. |
Official scenarios |
Converted official scenarios
The following scenarios, converted from the official
scenarios, are available. All of these scenarios are for use with my
standard map, not the extended map.
Note: As of map version 6.0, I have changed the way I convert the stock
scenarios. To make this process easier, and thus allow more scenarios
to be made available, I no longer make all of my base value (size, SPS,
supplies, fuel, production etc.) changes to the converted scenarios.
These conversions now include: - Movement
of all units and bases to the correct hexes
for my map..
- Addition of new bases.
- Correction
of many base names.
- Addition of a small number of
new LCUs, mainly to
account for the new bases.
- Fix of the Type 13
radar, to make it operate as an
air search radar.
In addition, I have converted scenario 15 and 16 to also include the
following (as well as all of the above): - Modification
of the values of MANY bases, including
port and airfield size and SPS, starting supplies and fuel levels.
- Modification of some production values for bases in
India, Australia, China and a few other places.
- Modification
to the Australian OOB.
- Modification to many CD
units to more correct
placement and TO&Es (Including the Soviets).
- Fix
fuel levels for those ships that start with
higher fuel levels than their class value.
These conversions are now given the scenario numbers 125 and 126
(converted from scenarios 15 and 16 respectively).

CHS |
Combined Historical Scenarios (CHS):
The Combined Historical Scenarios (CHS) have been
created
by the combined efforts of a number of War in the Pacific players. It
includes an overhaul of land, air and naval OOBs, TO&E, bases
and
game art.
There
are several available variants of the CHS scenario. The CHS scenarios
require my extended WitP map to be installed. There is also a separate
"base" package containing the art files and
documentation. To download and install CHS,
please see the CHS
Download page.

Variants | Combined
Historical Scenarios (CHS) Variants: The
following CHS variants are currently available: - Treespider's
CHS (2.08) variant.
- Ron Saueracker's CHS (2.06)
variant.
Treespider's CHS (2.08)
variant: Forest Webb ('Treespider') has created a
CHS variant based on CHS 2.08. The changes include the following:
Primary changes - -
Additon of 35+ bases to China - More places to garrison....
-
Redux of the Chinese Orbat that I
originally reduxed. - 95% of the
Chinese Central Army Divisions are represented... the others will be in
warlord corps of two or three warlord divisions each....Chinese Units
will have a severe reduction in support squads which will curtail their
offensive potential as well as most of the corps being stationary.
-
Recalibration of aircraft speeds in
terms of knots. -
Reduction
in the size of most airbases on the map. -
Reduction in pilot experience. -
Reduction in aircraft weapon accuracy.
Among other things.....

JWE's CHS(J) scenario:
A
CHS 2.08 campaign scenario variant with an emphasis on ship class and
ship accuracy, and with bitmap numbers matching JWE's ship art packs.
This scenario must be used with those ship art packs (also available
for download from this site). Please see the readme document file
for further information. Ron
Saueracker's CHS (2.06) variant: Ron Saueracker
has created a version of CHS in which the
ability for replacement US CVs and cruisers to be generated for those
sunk before 1943 has been removed, and additional ships added to match
those that arrived historically (renamed to avoid name clashes with
existing ships). This is otherwise known as a "non-respawn" variant.
